Planning is important! The next College Transfer Event is scheduled for April 16. Free food, games and prizes, face to face contact with university staff. Watch for details to be posted soon.
CHECK OUT OUR STUDENT SERVICES
Book and Laptop Checkout
Students can check out textbooks, laptops or netbooks FREE of charge in the SSC. These resources can be checked out for the entire quarter and are on a first come, first served basis.
Computer Lab
The SSC offers a mini-computer lab with printing capabilities that is open to all BBCC students.
Group & Individual Study Sessions
The SSC serves as a study area for students. There are also study rooms available for use. Inquire at the SSC for room availability.
Tutoring
The SSC offers tutoring programs that assist students to identify and develop strategies that support learning and enhance academic performance as well as to inspire students to become confident, independent learners prepared to meet academic challenges.
The SI program provides peer-facilitated group study sessions led by qualified, trained, and teacher recommended SI leaders. Sessions are open to ALL students who want to improve their understanding of the material, as well as improve their grades.
Peer Mentoring
BBCC uses peer-to-peer advocacy programs and service learning projects to assist students in adapting and navigating the college system as well as developing a higher level of engagement with peers, the BBBC campus and the surrounding community.
University Connections
Throughout the school year our university partners, Central Washington University and Heritage University, will visit our center to promote their programs. Stop by the center, pick up some promotional materials and learn about the transfer process and dual advising. Dates will be announced soon.
